Shang Palace and Niyyali present limited edition menus led by Chef Wong Kum and Chef Hassan
Jeddah : Taste of Shangri-La returns to Jeddah from 1 to 31 October 2026, inviting diners to experience two of the hotel’s leading restaurants through specially curated menus starting from SAR 220 per person.
The culinary experience brings together the Cantonese craftsmanship of Shang Palace and the Lebanese character of Niyyali. Each menu is shaped by the restaurant’s culinary identity and led by the chefs who define its kitchen.
At Shang Palace, Head Chef Wong Kum presents refined Cantonese flavours through dishes including wok-fried Boston lobster and Sichuan-style Australian Wagyu short ribs. The restaurant was awarded 2 Toques by the Gault & Millau Saudi Arabia guide, recognising the team’s precision and consistent approach to the cuisine.
At Niyyali, Head Chef Hassan leads a menu rooted in Lebanese tradition and expressed with a contemporary point of view. Highlights include whole smoked eggplant and shrimp sayadieh. Niyyali received 1 Toque from Gault & Millau Saudi Arabia, adding to the restaurant’s growing recognition in Jeddah.
Taste of Shangri-La was created to make the brand’s signature dining experiences easier to discover through limited-edition menus at an entry discovery package. In Jeddah, the month-long festival offers a direct journey between two distinct kitchens, supported by the Red Sea setting and warm service of Shangri-La Jeddah.
The wider 2026 festival brings together 25 restaurants and bars across 11 Shangri-La hotels in Europe, Canada, India, Sri Lanka, the Indian Ocean and the Middle East. The Jeddah edition places its own chefs, restaurant identities and local dining audience at the centre of the celebration.
