Top Eight Teams Set to Battle for a Spot in the Overwatch 2 Grand Finals in Riyadh
Riyadh: The excitement is building as the ESL Saudi Challenge 2025, presented by ESL FACEIT Group, the world’s leading esports and video game entertainment company, enters its final stretch. After an intense round of regional qualifiers in Overwatch 2, eight standout teams from across the Kingdom have secured their place in the next phase of the competition.
From May 13 to May 16, the playoffs will take center stage, bringing together the top contenders in a double-elimination format. Their mission: to claim one of just three spots in the Grand Finals, set to be held live at VOV Gaming Arena in Riyadh on May 30.
With $20,000 in prize money on the line, the stakes couldn’t be higher. The championship team will take home $9,000, the largest share of the prize pool, along with the honor of representing Saudi Arabia in an international competition later in 2025.
The lineup for this season’s playoffs features a dynamic mix of top talent and rising stars: Twisted Minds, Team Vision, Al Qadsiah, Everfrog, Oh Man, GOATS, Bright Future, and Brainrot. These teams have proven their skill and resilience and now, they’ll face off for a shot at glory.
In addition to the title and the international berth, the runner-up will earn $5,000, third place will take $3,000, and fourth place will receive $1,000. Teams finishing in fifth through eighth will be awarded $500 each as a tribute to their competitive spirit and performance.
