AMMAN : His Highness Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, received a delegation from the Saudi “Chefs’ Carnival Club” at the embassy headquarters in Amman. The visit coincided with the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations and the club’s participation in the “Knights and Heroines of Peace” Conference held in Jordan.
His Highness welcomed the members of the delegation, expressing his support and encouragement for the club’s efforts in representing the Saudi culinary community. He praised their role in highlighting the exceptional capabilities of national talent and presenting an honorable image of Saudi culture and identity in regional and international forums.
The delegation’s participation reflected a comprehensive cultural and national presence, as members aimed to showcase authentic Saudi heritage through traditional cuisine, native attire, and hospitality practices.
During the reception, the delegation presented two symbolic commemorative gifts reflecting Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage and spiritual stature:
The “Hijazi Bride” Shield: Presented by Saudi fashion designer and heritage ambassador Reem Assilan, depicting the traditional Hijazi dress known as “Al-Zaboun”. The piece features intricate craftsmanship, comprising 163,677 embroidery stitches completed in 5 hours and 38 minutes, following approximately 12 hours of design and programming.
The “Kaaba Gate” Shield: Presented by the Chefs’ Carnival Club as a tribute to the Kingdom’s religious standing and its honor in serving the Two Holy Mosques and pilgrims worldwide.
Expressing her gratitude on behalf of the team, Dr. Hwaida Jammal Al-Lail, Leader of the Chefs’ Carnival Club, voiced deep appreciation to His Highness for the warm reception and steadfast support. She emphasized that the visit serves as a strong motivation to continue representing the Kingdom with pride and excellence in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
