  • Healthpoint, Mubadala World Tennis Championship’s official health partner, offers courtside support to the world’s top tennis players
  • Over the three-day tournament, specialists from Healthpoint’s Orthopedics & Sports Medicine department treated athletes’ injuries and chronic conditions

Abu Dhabi, UAE-: Healthpoint, a Mubadala Health partner, served as the Mubadala World Tennis Championship’s official health partner for the 2022 tournament held at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City from 16 to 18 December.

Over the three days, Healthpoint, which is home to some of the world’s best specialist physicians and surgeons, was on the courtside delivering exceptional sports medicine and orthopedic care to the world’s top tennis players competing in Abu Dhabi at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.

“It was a privilege to be a part of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship. Our team of experts worked closely to support the athletes over the three days to minimize injuries and get them back in the game quickly. At this elite level, the demands on the players’ bodies are significant as they optimize performance and try to minimize injuries. We know that the game is harsh on the body, and injuries can be quite debilitating, so our team of world-leading consultants was on hand to support any injured players in their recovery. All players performed exceptionally, and we are thankful to have witnessed a safe and exciting tournament,” said Dr. Hasan Baydoun, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and Head of the Orthopedic department, at Healthpoint.

Over the course of the three-day tournament, Dr. Baydoun and his team of experts, consisting of four orthopedic consultants and three physiotherapists, were able to prevent any further escalation of injuries, allowing players to return to their match with confidence.

Healthpoint’s internationally trained orthopedics and sports medicine experts have treated complicated injuries. The multidisciplinary approach to treating all types of orthopedic injuries and working alongside patients to develop treatment plans and reduce recovery time have helped people of all ages and fitness levels return to their sport or fitness level. With dedicated staff trained in injuries and chronic conditions, Healthpoint’s expertise was on call during the tournament for players to consult physicians on the sidelines when in doubt about an injury.

Providing free consultations for incoming visitors at the Healthpoint booth, doctors were able to speak with those concerned about potential musculoskeletal injuries or conditions limiting performance or daily activities. As visitors passed through the stall, they received directions on how to seek help.
