Riyadh : Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail Region and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hail Region Development Authority, Hail Region entered the Guinness World Records after successfully organizing the world’s largest 4×4 parade. The event took place in the historic Tuwaran area, northwest of Hail, on Friday, January 16, 2026. The parade featured 501 4×4 vehicles traversing a 7-kilometer stretch of unpaved desert terrain, creating an exceptional spectacle that embodied the spirit of adventure, highlighted the region’s diverse natural environment and topography, and reinforced Hail’s position as a leading winter destination for off-road adventures.
The event was jointly organized by the Saudi Tourism Authority and the Hail Region Development Authority, with sponsorship from the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority and the House of Culture, and support from 14 government entities, including the Hail Region Governorate and the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation. The organizers confirmed that the march met all Guinness World Records requirements and standards, including strict adherence to the designated route without any stops or deviations, and the use of GPS tracking systems, which contributed to the official recognition of the world record.
His Royal Highness the Prince of Hail Region commended the ongoing support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – for the development of the regions. He praised the success of the region’s youth in breaking the world record, commended the outstanding organization, and affirmed that Hail is pleased to welcome visitors from across the Kingdom and beyond.
For his part, Mr. Omar bin Abdullah Al Abduljabbar, CEO of the Hail Region Development Authority, expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Prince of Hail Region for his continuous support and patronage. He noted that this event aligns with the Authority’s objectives to enhance Hail’s position on the global events map, contributing to the revitalization of tourism and the economy, increasing demand for accommodation, services, and tourist facilities, and showcasing the Kingdom’s ability to organize world-class events according to the highest standards. The event featured vehicles passing through Wadi Aja and the historic Tuwaran area, which is associated with the story of Hatim al-Tai.
