November 21st, Dubai, UAE: The UAE’s top restaurants have been revealed at the fourth edition of the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards. A total of 37 restaurants were honoured this year, celebrating the best of the country’s vibrant F&B scene as Deliveroo marks 10 years in the UAE. Nearly 1,000 restaurants were nominated, with winners selected through a combination of public voting and category-specific criteria. A record 300,000+ customers cast their votes to support their favourite dining spots.
The most anticipated award of the night, Restaurant of the Year, delivered an unprecedented outcome. After one of the closest judging rounds ever recorded, Pickl and Mashrou3 Tabkha were jointly crowned Restaurants of the Year, marking the first tie in the award’s history.
Finalists for the coveted category included Pickl, Mashrou3 Tabkha, Rascals, Pitfire Pizza, and Joe & The Juice. As the only award nominated by the public and evaluated by a judging panel, the assessment focused on food quality, packaging and presentation, value for money, going the extra mile, and overall brand personality. This year’s judges included Liam Joyce, Editor at What’s On; Laura Lai, Journalist & Social Media Personality; Peyman Al Awadhi, Entrepreneur & TV Presenter; Ola & Tarek from Cucina Del Sul; and Farah Sawaf, F&B Expert and Founder & Managing Partner at Soul Communications.
Yasmine Mroueh, Director, Restaurant Account Management at Deliveroo UAE, said, “As we celebrate a decade of delivering the best food the UAE has to offer, the fourth edition of the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards truly underscores the diversity of our restaurant community and the growing selection of cuisines on our platform. With nearly 1,000 restaurants nominated across 37 categories and more than 300,000 public votes cast, this year underscores the deep connection customers have with their favourite restaurants.
