Dubai, UAE -: Building on the success of its 2024 event, the UAE Restaurant Group (UAERG) is excited to host its second Open Day, inviting F&B professionals to join the conversation. On February 10th from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce Headquarters on Baniyas Road, Deira, the event will bring together UAERG members, government representatives, and industry leaders. Featuring panel discussions, keynote speeches, and ample networking opportunities, attendees can gain valuable insights into the trends shaping the future of the UAE’s F&B industry.

The UAERG is a not-for-profit organisation uniting food and beverage industry professionals with the shared goal of establishing the UAE as a global gastronomic hub. By fostering collaboration, promoting sustainable practices, and providing essential resources, UAERG serves as a dynamic platform for driving growth and innovation within the sector. The group also plays a key part in bridging businesses with government entities, encouraging transparency and creativity in the marketplace while supporting job creation and economic development.

The Open Day will kick off with a warm welcome from the UAERG board, followed by an overview of the day’s agenda by Tapan Vaidya, Treasurer of UAERG. Attendees can look forward to a keynote speech from Maha Al Gargawi, VP of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, highlighting the role of the F&B industry in the UAE’s economy. The discussions will continue with a presentation titled ‘Taking a Pulse of the Industry: Data and Insights.’ Delivered by Nishanth Krishnan, Director of People Advisory & Business Consulting at Grant Thornton, and Tjalling van den Burger, VP of Enterprise at Adyen.

The agenda will also feature an appearance from Journalist and Hospitality Consultant Claudia De Brito, who will share an insider’s perspective on MENA’s 50 Best, while Christopher Hewett, UAERG Secretary General, will provide updates on developments in Ras Al Khaimah. Additionally, a panel on restaurant profitability, will feature industry leaders Stefano Mihalitsianos of Tashas Group, Panchali Mahendra, Chief Executive Officer of Atelier House Hospitality, and Naved Nasir, Founder of Khadak. Moderated by Richard Dean of Dubai Eye, the conversation will delve into strategies for navigating challenges and maximising success in the sector.

The event will conclude with another compelling talk featuring government representatives from the Department of Economy & Tourism, Dubai Municipality, and Dubai Police before Amit Nayak, Vice Chairman of UAERG, delivers the closing remarks. Attendees will then have the chance to network with industry leaders to wrap up the day.
