Julith is set to sell the rare Nido 7 Geisha — with only 20 kilograms in existence and a portion reserved for the Dubai Royal Family. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Dubai : Julith, Dubai’s homegrown specialty coffee destination, which made global headlines in August with its record-breaking purchase of the world’s rarest beans — Nido 7 Geisha — is now ready to serve its first cup. For the first time, coffee connoisseurs in the UAE and beyond can now taste the world’s most celebrated coffee, available by the cup or as part of Julith’s immersive Panama Geisha Experience.

Why It’s So Rare

The legendary Nido 7 Geisha is produced in tiny quantities, grown under exceptional micro-climatic conditions, and represents decades of dedication, craftsmanship, and terroir. Judged by 22 of the world’s leading coffee experts, it earned 98 points at the Best of Panama competition – the most prestigious coffee auction on the planet – setting a new global benchmark for quality. Until now, no coffee had ever scored above 96.5. Most remarkably, six international judges awarded it a perfect score of 100 – an almost unheard-of achievement in the history of specialty coffee.

Why It’s So Valuable

With only 20 kilograms in existence, Nido 7 Geisha sparked an intense bidding war at the 2025 Best of Panama Auction, attracting 549 bids from the world’s most respected roasters and collectors. Julith ultimately secured the lot for a record-breaking AED 2,218,785 ($604,080) – the highest price ever paid for auction coffee.

Dubai on the World Coffee Map

This milestone marks a defining moment for Dubai’s rapidly growing specialty coffee scene. Of the 50 winning lots in the 2025 Best of Panama Auction, six 90+ point coffee lots were secured by Dubai-based roasteries – with Archers Coffee and The Espresso Lab each winning lots alongside Julith. Together, they are helping cement the city’s reputation as one of the world’s most exciting new hubs for rare, high-scoring coffees.

Dubai’s Roasters has also made headlines with a Guinness World Record for the most expensive cup of coffee ever sold – albeit using uncertified beans. Combined with Julith’s record-breaking acquisition, it signals an exciting new chapter for Dubai as a major player on the global specialty coffee stage.

Not a Gimmick

While its price and scarcity have captured international attention, Julith’s mission is to celebrate Nido 7 not as a novelty, but as a once-in-a-generation expression of nature, craft, and time — much like a rare vintage champagne or a first-growth Bordeaux. To honour the occasion, Julith has even reserved a portion of the coffee exclusively for His Highness to experience.

“This is not a gimmick or a marketing stunt – we’re not serving it in a gold cup with extravagant extras,” says Serkan Sagsoz, Head Coffee Roaster and Turkish Champion Barista at Julith. “The Nido 7 Geisha is a remarkable coffee that only a handful of people on the planet will ever taste, and now, for the first time, that’s possible right here in Dubai. With so little of it in existence, every cup feels like a piece of history. I would be truly honoured to one day brew a cup for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed. We’ve reserved a portion of the beans for the Royal Family, should they wish to visit us.”

The Experience

Julith’s Panama Geisha Experience is designed as a curated tasting for one to four guests per session, guiding coffee lovers through the extraordinary journey of Nido 7 Geisha – from the remote, high-altitude slopes of Panama where it is cultivated, to the meticulous roasting and brewing techniques that unlock its rare floral aromatics, vibrant acidity, and unparalleled depth. Each session includes one carefully brewed cup of Nido 7 (Dhs3,600 per cup), with the option to order additional cups individually. Guests who prefer to forgo the experience can still enjoy the coffee on its own, served simply and with reverence.

Nido 7 Geisha will be on sale from 1st November. Priced at Dhs3,600 per cup.
