Taif : His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib, conducted an inspection visit to Taif Governorate following his family summer vacation on the Red Sea islands of Shura and Adrena.

Arriving from the Red Sea, the Minister’s visit to Taif comes as the governorate experiences peak tourism activity during the summer season. It highlights Taif’s rising status as one of the Kingdom’s foremost summer destinations, driven by the accelerated development of tourism projects and experiences that cater to visitors of all ages.

During the visit, His Excellency carried out an on-site field tour covering a range of projects, events, and tourist facilities. He reviewed their preparedness and the quality of services offered to guests. The itinerary included a visit to the Bin Salman Taif Rose Farm, one of the most notable agricultural and tourism destinations in the region. The rose and flower farms seamlessly combine agricultural heritage with rural visitor experiences, drawing both local and international guests.

The Minister also inspected the “Nasma Event,” a summer initiative that adds a recreational atmosphere through its varied programs, family activities, and open-air experiences. His tour further included Al-Ruddaf Park, one of Taif’s best-known attractions, which witnesses a significant increase in visitors during the summer thanks to its green spaces, entertainment options, and diverse facilities that make it a favorite for families.

In addition, His Excellency reviewed the “Al-Othaim Hills Project” on Al-Hada Road, one of the largest upcoming tourist and entertainment destinations in Taif. The project seeks to harmonize the area’s scenic mountainous nature with modern entertainment standards, offering visitors a distinctive experience.

The visit also covered the “Ahwi Camp,” reflecting the growth of tourism investment in Taif by providing accommodation options and recreational experiences that take advantage of the governorate’s mountainous landscape and mild climate. The itinerary further included the “Al-Saif Overlook,” offering panoramic views of Taif’s natural terrain, as well as “Al-Qazzaz Square,” a lively community hub for events and activities. The tour also featured “Tanal Village,” which blends heritage with rural hospitality—showcasing the breadth of tourism products available in Taif to match different visitor interests.

The Minister’s inspection comes at a time when Taif is witnessing one of its busiest summer seasons, supported by the “Saudi Summer 2026” programs and activities. Launched by the Saudi Tourism Authority under the slogan “Our Summer, Our Way,” the initiative offers a wide spectrum of experiences, from entertainment events and farms to resorts, parks, gardens, and markets—making Taif a comprehensive destination for all demographics.

The Minister’s field visit underscores the importance of direct follow-up on tourism projects and attractions, assessing their readiness and service quality. This supports efforts to develop the tourism sector and strengthens Taif’s position as one of Saudi Arabia’s most prominent summer destinations.

He also shared highlights from his Red Sea trip on his “X” account, where he visited Shura Island—known for water-based activities suitable for all family members and ideal for a holiday that balances enjoyment with privacy. He likewise visited the Adrina area, recognized for adventure, entertainment, excitement, and exploration, offering a variety of activities and experiences tailored to different ages and preferences, in line with the spirit of the Red Sea as one of the Kingdom’s newest tourism destinations.
