A weekly dining experience inspired by local seafood culture and international culinary craft
JEDDAH : Rosewood Jeddah introduces Seafood Night, a weekly dining experience that draws inspiration from the Red Sea and Jeddah’s longstanding relationship with seafood. Taking place every Thursday evening, the experience brings together local sourcing, live cooking and global influences within an interactive buffet setting.
At the heart of the evening is a live charcoal grill, where guests can observe traditional Arabic grilling techniques and Saudi-style seafood preparation. The selection includes locally sourced hamour, najil, harid, tiger prawns, vine leaf–wrapped shour and king fish maghash, prepared with oil-free marinades that allow the natural flavours of the seafood to take centre stage.
Complementing the grill, a fried seafood station features red mullet, sardines, anchovies, calamari rings and mussels, while a raw seafood display evokes the character of a traditional Saudi seafood restaurant. For a lighter and more international expression, the crudo station presents Japanese sashimi, tuna tartare and Latin American–inspired ceviche, prepared using hamour, najil, harid and shrimp, and served with fresh, balanced accompaniments.
The experience is completed with a salad station influenced by Mediterranean and Levant flavours, followed by a dessert selection of fresh fruits, Mediterranean-style mousses and cream-based desserts.
Designed to feel generous, interactive and rooted in place, Seafood Night invites guests to explore Jeddah’s seafood culture through live cooking, local sourcing from Souq Al-Samak and a considered blend of regional and global culinary traditions. The result is a visually engaging and relaxed evening that has quickly become a distinctive weekly ritual.
