His Excellency Faisal bin Fadhil Alibrahim Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy and Planning participated in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Ministerial Meeting on Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) in the global economy on 14th-15th February 2023 in Paris, and held discussions with high-level representatives and ministers on the sidelines of the event.

The meeting – part of the OECD Responsible Business Conduct Week – was an opportunity for the Kingdom to engage in critical global dialogues on RBC conduct and the contribution of the private sector to economic growth.

His Excellency commented: “This meeting is a great opportunity to engage in and discuss the latest thinking and action, and move forward enterprises’ contribution to sustainable growth.”

On 16th February, His Excellency and His Excellency Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, of the French Republic, discussed strengthening economic relations, investment opportunities, and topics of common interest.

His Excellency Alibrahim and His Excellency Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions, discussed the Kingdom’s interest in hosting Expo 2030.

His Excellency Alibrahim and Laurent Germain, CEO of Egis and Chairman of the Saudi-French Business Council, discussed the Kingdom’s initiatives to empower the private sector under Saudi Vision 2030.

His Excellency and His Excellency Emmanuel Bonne, Diplomatic Advisor to the French President, discussed recent developments and topics of common interest.

His Excellency Alibrahim and Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD, discussed economic progress in the Kingdom under Saudi Vision 2030, as well as building further cooperation between the Kingdom and the OECD.

On 15th February, His Excellency Alibrahim and His Excellency Luis Miguel De Camps, Minister of Labor of the Dominican Republic, discussed recent economic developments, trade, and investment opportunities between the two countries.

His Excellency Alibrahim and His Excellency Becht Olivier, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, of the French Republic, discussed economic relations, trade, and investment opportunities.

His Excellency Alibrahim and His Excellency Martin Kocher, Austria’s Federal Minister of Labor and Economy, discussed strengthening economic relations, and recent developments on topics of common interest.

His Excellency Alibrahim and His Excellency Mohcine Jazouli, Morocco’s Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence and the Evaluation of Public Policies, discussed investment opportunities and topics of common interest.

On 14th February, His Excellency Alibrahim and His Excellency Helene Budliger Artieda, director of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Swiss Confederation, discussed strengthening economic relations, and the latest developments on topics of common interest.

His Excellency Alibrahim and His Excellency Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade discussed strengthening economic relations, trade and investment opportunities, and topics of common interest.
