The Dubai-born specialty coffee brand lands in one of Europe’s most coveted winter destinations, blending alpine elegance with Saddle’s signature warmth
Dubai : Saddle Café, the homegrown Emirati brand known for shaping a contemporary café culture rooted in hospitality and quality, has officially opened its first-ever location in Courchevel. Located in the heart of Courchevel 1850, the opening marks Saddle’s debut in one of the world’s most prestigious alpine destinations and its first location in Courchevel.
Bringing its signature café experience from the UAE to the French Alps, Saddle Courchevel introduces a refined, design-led space that feels at home within the rhythm of mountain life. The opening represents a significant milestone for the brand as it continues to take Emirati-founded experiences onto the global stage.
An Alpine Address, Designed for the Slopes
Spanning 40 square metres, Saddle Courchevel is an intimate café with seating for nine guests, designed to cater to both dine-in and grab-and-go moments. Open daily throughout the winter season from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the café is positioned as a natural pause point for skiers, shoppers, and visitors moving through the village.
The space reflects Saddle’s clean, considered aesthetic while embracing the energy of Courchevel, offering a warm, welcoming stop between mornings on the slopes and afternoons in the village.
An Alpine-Inspired Menu, the Saddle Way
The Courchevel menu builds on Saddle’s established offerings across its French locations, while introducing exclusive signature items created especially for the Courchevel location. Guests can enjoy Saddle’s specialty coffees alongside freshly made crepes, açai smoothies, pistachio milkshakes, and gourmet sandwiches, all served in a full sit-down café setting.
At the heart of the menu are winter-focused comforts designed for the season. Think rich, indulgent hot chocolate, warming chai, and hearty steel-cut oat porridge, crafted for slow mornings after time on the slopes and cozy afternoons in the village. These additions bring a sense of warmth and ritual to the experience, positioning Saddle as a natural pause point between alpine adventures and après moments.
Exclusive Retail, Only in Courchevel
Extending the Saddle experience beyond the café, the Courchevel location also debuts a curated range of exclusive retail items designed specifically for the alpine setting. Available only at this location, the collection includes branded apparel, winter-ready accessories such as gloves, and limited-edition mugs.
Thoughtfully created to reflect Saddle’s identity while embracing mountain culture, the retail line offers guests a tangible connection to the brand and a souvenir that travels well beyond the slopes.
A Milestone in Saddle’s Global Expansion
Speaking about the new expansion, Mohamed Matar Al Falasi, Founder of Saddle Café said, “Arriving in Courchevel is a moment of pride and excitement for us. This destination represents the pinnacle of alpine elegance, and we’re thrilled to share our Emirati-born café experience with locals and international travelers alike. It’s more than an expansion; it’s a chance to bring our hospitality, culinary offerings, and design ethos to one of the world’s most iconic luxury locations.”
Founded in Dubai in 2017, Saddle Café has grown into one of the UAE’s most recognised homegrown brands, with locations across the Emirates and internationally, including Riyadh, London, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez. The Courchevel opening represents a strategic step in the brand’s European expansion, introducing Saddle’s approach to coffee, hospitality, and design to a new global audience.
With its first-ever location in Courchevel now open, Saddle Café continues to build its presence in some of the world’s most influential lifestyle destinations, carrying a distinctly Emirati-born brand into new cultural landscapes.
