Marrakech–– This year, Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech invites guests to celebrate the start of a new year with a touch of Moroccan flair against the backdrop of the snow-capped Atlas mountains. From 22 December to 3 January 2025, guests can unwrap a finely curated festive programme with entertaining activities for all ages.
The Bounty of the Sea
In collaboration with local fishermen, ‘Coastal Treasures’ at the Pool Garden’s seafood bar features freshly-caught royal crab, shellfish, oysters and the finest seasonal fish. Then, its ‘New Year’s Day Brunch’ menu includes Lobster Egg Benedict, Black Angus Rossini and Porcini and Chestnut Risotto – all accompanied by live Bossa Nova music and cabaret dancers for a vibrant start to 2025. Sustainable Dining
The ‘Festive Garden-To-Table’ experience at The Vegetable Garden has skilled chefs helping guests master traditional tagines and seasonal dishes, using ingredients sourced fresh from the hotel’s gardens (MAD 2250 per person).
Decadent Dining
‘A Truffle Affair’ at Ling Ling By Hakkasan has a seasonal set menu featuring signature Hakkasan classics like blue lobster and lacquered duck, elevated by the rare, earthy richness of the Périgord truffle (MAD 1780 per person). Ring in the New Year in true Ling Ling style with an eight-course menu, including highlights such as Alaskan King Crab Salad and Smoked Jasmine Beef, accompanied by bubbles and vibrant beats from resident DJ Othman Kabbadj.
Seasonal Voyage
At Shirvan, Michelin-starred Chef Akrame Benallal has crafted a six-course ‘Seasonal Voyage’, inspired by the rich, warm flavours of the Silk Road (MAD 1150 per person). ‘Shirvan Fire and Flavour’ on New Year’s Eve features a six-course menu with a glass of bubbly and live entertainment (MAD 2988 per person).
Families and small groups can enjoy an intimate festive meal in the comfort of their private villa, with a chef and maître d’hôtel creating a truly memorable experience (starting MAD 2990 per person).
Wellness Rituals
Renowned visiting practitioner, Sara Berjani, will be in residence at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech from 22 December until 3 January. Her lymphatic drainage treatments stimulate collagen production, reduce water retention, and eliminate cellulite – perfect for starting the new year refreshed.
