Boucheron is delighted to welcome Pierre Niney as a Friend of the Maison. Teaming up with the French actor seems like a natural move. This alliance is rooted in common values like creativity and the bold expression of individuality. But it also reflects a shared characteristic—the gift of being serious, without taking oneself too seriously. And that equation sums up Boucheron’s attitude as much as the actor’s.
Pierre Niney was born on March 13, 1989, and always knew that he wanted to be on stage. He took drama in high school, where he got his first taste of the adrenaline rush of performing. His teachers were quick to spot his talent, even then. He went on to train at the prestigious Cours Florent and the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique (France’s National Academy of Dramatic Arts). On October 16, 2010, he joined the Comédie Française aged just 21, making him the illustrious theater company’s youngest resident member. He made his repertory début in Eugène Labiche’s Un Chapeau de Paille d’Italie (The Italian Straw Hat). In his subsequent career, the versatile actor has explored every genre, theme, and format through a succession of very different roles. Niney has played characters ranging from the young innocent in 20 Ans d’Écart (It Boy), a valiant firefighter in Sauver ou Périr (Through the Fire), a manipulated schemer in Mascarade (Masquerade), a whistleblower in Boîte Noire (Black Box) – and each performance is equally convincing. He’s an actor who follows his instincts, trusting the directors who cast him in atypical productions such as François Ozon’s Frantz. In 2015 Niney won the César Award for Best Actor for his performance as Yves Saint Laurent in Jalil Lespert’s biopic of the same name.
“I’m deeply honored to count myself among the Friends of Boucheron and be associated with a jeweler that places such a high value on creativity and fearless individuality. I look forward very much to being part of the next chapter in this French Maison’s story.”
Pierre Niney
“I’m delighted to announce that Pierre Niney is joining the Friends of Boucheron. It’s a pleasure to be associated with such a versatile actor, who’s not afraid to venture off the beaten track. We ourselves are used to pushing the boundaries and disrupting the codes of High Jewelry. This willingness to take risks is something we have in common.”

Under this partnership, Boucheron will work closely with the actor during his promotional activities throughout 2024. April will see the launch of Netflix series Fiasco, which Niney co-wrote, co-produced, and stars in. Then the movie The Count of Monte Cristo is set for French release on June 28, with Niney in the title role.
