Doha, Qatar-– Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha is pleased to announce the promotion of Samer Kheir to Hotel Manager. With an exceptional track record in hotel operations, finance, and leadership, Mr. Kheir is a seasoned hospitality professional with over 19 years of experience across Lebanon, Oman, and Qatar.
In his new role, his leadership will include spearheading initiatives to strengthen the property’s standing as a premier choice for business and leisure travelers in Doha and ensuring alignment with Hyatt’s global standards for innovation and hospitality. Mr. Kheir will oversee daily operations with a strong focus on elevating service quality, optimizing guest satisfaction, and fostering team development. He will also guide the development and execution of financial and operational strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration with suppliers, travel partners, and event planners, to drive revenue growth through strategic marketing and promotional initiatives.
Prior to his promotion, Mr. Kheir held key roles including Director of Operations and Director of Finance at Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha. During this period, his leadership was instrumental in Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha earning the titles of ‘Best Luxury Business Hotel in the Middle East and North Africa’ at the 2019 World Luxury Hotel Awards, ‘Qatar’s Leading Airport Hotel’ at the 2022, 2023, and 2024 World Travel Awards Middle East, and ‘Editor’s Choice Sustainable Hotel Excellence’ at the 2024 LLQ Lifestyle Awards, as well as the title of ‘Favorite Casual Dining’ restaurant for The Cellar at the FACT Dining Awards Qatar 2024. He also successfully managed high-profile operations, including catering for 8,000 guests during the FIFA World Cup 2022 VIP pop-up in collaboration with Qatar Airways.
A graduate of the Lebanese University and comprehensive general manager development programs, Mr. Kheir has consistently driven year-on-year improvements in guest satisfaction scores, launched innovative F&B concepts, and overseen successful hotel openings and rebranding projects during his career.
