The global padel brand Padelx is now making it’s mark in the Kingdom

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Padelx, a unique padel concept, has opened an all-new branch in Taawon, Riyadh. After it’s first Middle Eastern outpost in Dubai that took the city by storm, the global padel concept is all set to create a fitness revolution in the Kingdom.

Padelx will build and operate a large number of padel clubs to become the market leader in the Middle East region. It’s first offering in Taawon, Riyadh is a new unique experience in the heart of the capital that inspires a healthier lifestyle.

The global padel brand Padelx, also known as The Social Racquet Club, had a grand opening on March 17 in the presence of VIPs, dignitaries and members of the city’s fitness community, it opened to the public on the next day. With the goal of bringing play back to sports and encouraging people to move, the Taawon Club includes 3 state-of-the-art courts, a social living room, a racquet bar with padel rackets and apparel and a food & beverage concept focusing on conscious and healthy food and drinks, all decked out in the brand’s signature colors of green and blue.

The launch of Padelx Taawon Club is seen as the first milestone of its ambitious plans in Saudi Arabia with the goal of launching over 300 courts across the Kingdom this year. Padelx will lead the padel revolution in the entire region by building courts and clubs that are easily accessible where the philosophy is to have a social first approach. The focus will be on designing social spaces that inspire people to get moving and socialize through the power of sports. With the belief that an active lifestyle should be fun and social, Padelx is committed to inspiring a healthier lifestyle – both in the KSA and across the world. The mission is in line with Saudi Vision 2030 that will encourage the country’s citizens and residents to adopt a more sustainable and active lifestyle. The influx of new padel clubs will inspire a whole new generation of people to be a good force in sports and become active.

“We are thrilled to be opening our first padel club here in Riyadh. I think it feels even more special for me to be here since I spent some of my best years here as a footballer in this amazing country. Our ambitious plans will be a game changer for the future of padel here in Saudi and the entire region. We like to promote play over drill. As we see it, padel, and all sports for that matter, are about having fun, being active and feeling rewarded while doing it.” says Christian Wilhelmsson, Executive Business Developer at Padelx.

“I’m so proud to finally be launching Padelx in my country. I’m a huge fan of padel, and I’m sure a lot of people here will fall in love with the sport just like I did. It’s easy to learn, fun to play and rewarding. If you ask me, I couldn’t think of a better sport to inspire the youth, and everyone else for that matter, to play, have fun and achieve a healthier lifestyle,” added Sami Al-Jaber, partner at Padelx.

Padelx will be taking bookings through the Setpoint app. The cost of booking one court for 60 minutes starts at 220 SAR.
