The Dubai-born flavour house showcased its signature “Dubai” and “Istanbul” flavours at the World Governments Summit, held from February 3rd to 5th, highlighting the women-led brand on a global stage alongside world leaders and innovators

Dubai : At the recent World Governments Summit, which took place from February 3rd to 5th, Miva Flavour House marked a defining moment in its journey. The flavour curators became the only gelato brand to participate in the event, being officially selected to showcase its creations at one of the world’s most influential global platforms. During the summit, the Dubai-founded flavour house presented its vision, creativity, and signature “Dubai” and “Istanbul” flavours to an international audience of policymakers, innovators, and decision-makers.

The World Governments Summit is a globally recognised platform that convenes governments, international organisations, private sector leaders, and thought leaders to explore the future of governance. Under the 2026 theme, Shaping Future Governments, the summit fostered dialogue around innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions to shared global challenges, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a hub for ideas that shape the future.

Miva Flavour House’s participation stood out as a powerful representation of home-grown entrepreneurship, creativity, and cultural storytelling. As the only gelato brand invited to take part, Miva showcased how flavour can act as a universal language, communicating identity, place, and connection in a setting traditionally reserved for policy, innovation, and leadership. The moment marked a significant milestone for the brand, elevating it beyond the culinary space and positioning it within broader conversations around culture, creativity, and global exchange.

At the heart of Miva’s showcase was its signature “Dubai” flavour, a concept inspired by the city’s unique ability to bring cultures and communities together. Reimagining classic vanilla, the flavour was elevated with the warmth of tonka beans, offering subtle notes of cherry and cinnamon. Crafted to pair effortlessly with a wide range of foods, the flavour mirrored Dubai’s spirit of harmony and diversity, celebrating how contrasting influences can coexist beautifully, much like the city itself.

Alongside the “Dubai” flavour, Miva also served “Istanbul”, a blue coffee & mastic swirl inspired by the historic city where continents meet. Blending rich coffee notes with the distinctive, aromatic warmth of mastic, the flavour captured the spirit of the Middle East in every scoop. Developed over several months, “Istanbul” held particular significance at the Summit, symbolising cultural exchange, depth of heritage, and the power of flavour to tell stories that transcend borders.

“Being part of the World Governments Summit was an incredibly proud and emotional moment for us,” said Tanaz Shahriari, Founder of Miva Flavour House. “To represent a women-led, Dubai-born brand on such a prestigious global platform felt deeply meaningful. The “Dubai” flavour was created as a tribute to the city that shaped us, paying homage to its openness, its energy, and its ability to bring people together, while “Istanbul” was made to celebrate the event’s diversity and inclusion. Sharing our story with leaders and innovators from around the world was a reminder that even something as simple as flavour can spark connection, dialogue, and a sense of belonging.”

Founded in Dubai in 2018, Miva Flavour House has quickly become one of the UAE’s most distinctive premium gelato and experiential catering brands. Born out of travel and nostalgic food memories, the boutique flavour house curates destination-inspired creations made fresh in Dubai, combining premium ingredients with refined storytelling. Known for its luxury packaging, bespoke carts, and immersive event concepts, Miva has collaborated with global names including Tiffany & Co, Ferragamo, Ounass, and Versace, while continuing to expand its presence across the UAE.

As the flavour house continues to explore new sensory experiences, non-food creations, and future retail opportunities, this landmark moment signalled the beginning of a new chapter, one where Dubai-born creativity continues to travel the world, one flavour at a time.
