Dubai – : For the first time ever, LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort will celebrate ‘World Food Safety Day’ with various activities until 7. June 2023 to support United Nation’s campaign “Food safety, everyone’s business” that promotes global food safety awareness and calls upon countries and decision makers, the private sector, civil society, UN organizations and the general public to take action.
LEGOLAND® Hotel, part of LEGOLAND Dubai Resort, the first of its kind in the Middle East, perfect for families with children aged 2-12 years old, will mark this year’s ‘World Food Safety Day’ celebration with a daily themed creative workshop. Here, young guests* aged 5 years and above staying at the hotel until 7. June 2023, are welcome to know more about ‘World Food Safety’ in an engaging and entertaining way when joining the exclusive interactive ‘LEGOLAND® Pizza Making’ creative workshop at 3:30pm. Highlighting the unique playful learning concept at LEGOLAND Hotel, Jameel Ahmed Abdul, ‘LEGO® Build and Experience Instructor’ of the Creative Workshop will share with the young participants, during this fun session, various simplified and interesting facts about the importance of Food Safety and how every person, even the little ones can take part in this great cause.
The creative workshop is one of the activities that every young guest, between the age of 3-12 years, enjoys as part LEGOLAND Hotel’s ultimate sleepover, offering different sessions for children of different age groups.
Furthermore, ‘World Food Safety Day’ will be celebrated until 7. June by the team members of LEGOLAND Dubai Resort, whether at LEGOLAND® Dubai theme park, LEGOLAND® Water Park or LEGOLAND Hotel with a list of educational and fun-interactive activities to raise awareness of food safety practices and to enhance the team’s knowledge of the critical role of food safety at every stage of the food chain – from production all the way to preparation and consumption. Among the list of Food Safety Week activities presented to LEGOLAND Dubai Resort team members, is ‘Food Safety Treasure Hunt’, ‘Food Safety Memory Games’, ‘Glo germ hand wash competition’, ‘PIC Mini Olympics’ as well as ‘Food Safety Excellence Awards’ recognizing the best grooming team member with great food safety knowledge.
