RIYADH : ACCIONA Cultura has completed Riyadh Air’s Hafawa Lounge at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, helping deliver the vision of Saudi Arabia’s new national airline for a landmark premium lounge experience.

Spanning 2,000 square meters with seating for up to 370 guests, the new lounge sets a new benchmark in aviation hospitality through advanced technology, refined materials, and cultural elegance to create a distinctive and comfortable environment.

Designed by award-winning studio Yabu Pushelberg, the project was brought to life by ACCIONA Cultura, which led technical design, project management, and the execution of interior architectural and technical works. The project was completed on an accelerated schedule in line with client requirements, reflecting strong coordination across design, engineering, and construction teams.

In line with ACCIONA’s commitment to sustainable and responsible design, the lounge was conceived to meet the LEED Gold certification requirements, with a focus on environmental performance, energy efficiency, and lounge guests’ wellbeing.

The project demonstrates ACCIONA Cultura’s ability to deliver complex experiential environments where design intent, technology integration and operational requirements must come together within demanding programs and active operational settings.

The opening of the Riyadh Air Hafawa Lounge marks a significant milestone in the launch of Riyadh Air, the new national airline backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and supports the Kingdom’s commitment to redefining global travel experiences, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
