Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) made a significant impact at the Jeddah International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (JTTX), highlighting the surge in Saudi tourists visiting Korea. This rise follows the commencement of direct flights from Saudi Arabia to Incheon International Airport, with services from both Jeddah and Riyadh operated by Saudia airlines.

The increase in Saudi tourists prompted KTO’s participation in promoting Korea as a favored destination for Saudi travelers, who are increasingly drawn to Korean culture. Simultaneously, Koreans are expressing growing interest in Saudi Arabia, encouraged by the mutual visa on arrival agreement between the two nations.

One of the key attractions drawing Saudi tourists to Korea is the much-anticipated Cherry Blossom season, which typically occurs from March 30 to April 15. Last year alone, Korea welcomed approximately 15,000 visitors from Saudi Arabia during this enchanting period, with around 5,700 visitors arriving specifically during March to May to witness the captivating beauty of the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
At the JTTX, KTO’s stand attracted over 2,000-3,000 visitors who expressed keen interest in traveling to Korea, emphasizing the growing appeal of Korean tourism among Saudi nationals.

As the Jeddah International Travel and Tourism Exhibition serves as a pivotal platform for promoting tourism initiatives and fostering partnerships, Korea Tourism Organization remains committed to showcasing Korea’s diverse attractions and extending a warm invitation to Saudi travelers to explore the wonders of Korea.

The overwhelming response at JTTX reaffirms the strong potential for further growth in Saudi tourism to Korea, and we look forward to welcoming more Saudi visitors.
