On February 26th, Chez Wam will launch an exclusive collaboration with Lebanese artist Ihab Ahmad, offering a vibrant fusion of culinary delights, art, and live music. This unique event will feature live painting by Ihab, alongside delicious food, cocktails and a DJ performance, creating an atmosphere that celebrates the intersection of artistic expression and gastronomic innovation.
Chez Wam, the contemporary dining hotspot at St. Regis Gardens, has quickly gained a reputation for its creative approach to food, music, and community. Chef Hadrien, the mastermind behind Chez Wam, is bringing artwork by the talented Ihab Ahmad to deliver a sensory experience that’s equal parts artistic and immersive.
The evening will be a showcase of Ihab’s colourful work, which captures the essence of optimism and the transformative power of colour. “The most important element is color. Color is abstract yet you can reflect all your emotions through it. If you put one color, you can express many feelings, so it’s a strong element in art,” says Ihab. His art is not only an expression of emotion but also an invitation to imagine a peaceful and connected world. A central theme in his work is the relationship between nature and humanity, often symbolised by recurring motifs such as fish, eyes, trees, and geometric patterns.
Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to experience Ihab’s art firsthand. Live painting will take place during the event, and artwork from the exhibition will be available for purchase, offering a chance to bring a piece of the vibrant energy of the evening home. The art will remain on display and for sale at Chez Wam for the next few months, creating a lasting connection between food, art, and community.
