Twenty Saudi colleagues from five Hyatt branded hotels across the Kingdom are set to participate in international career development assignments, reinforcing Hyatt’s commitment to developing the next generation of hospitality leaders

RIYADH :  Hyatt today announced its participation in the Saudi Ministry of Tourism’s new Hospitality Ambassadors programme, an initiative designed to develop Saudi hospitality talent through international on-the-job training experiences at Hyatt branded hotels across Asia.

The collaboration reflects Hyatt’s continued commitment to investing in local talent and supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by creating meaningful career development opportunities for Saudi nationals while helping shape the future leaders of the Kingdom’s rapidly growing hospitality sector.

Over the course of 2026, 20 Saudi colleagues from five Hyatt branded properties across the Kingdom are set to participate in one-month international assignments across Hyatt branded hotels in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. Participants will follow structured learning programmes designed to strengthen operational expertise, leadership capabilities and exposure to global hospitality best practices before returning to Saudi Arabia to continue their careers within Hyatt – which has a current portfolio of seven branded hotels and resorts across the Kingdom, and a pipeline set to triple its portfolio in the coming five years.

The programme is divided into two development pathways. One is designed for hospitality professionals with a minimum of two years’ experience who are looking to deepen their expertise, while the second focuses on colleagues with demonstrated leadership potential, preparing them for future senior management roles. Reflecting Hyatt’s continued commitment to developing diverse talent, 60 percent of Hyatt’s inaugural participants are women, with colleagues representing a broad range of hotel functions.

“At Hyatt, our purpose is to care for people so they can be their best, and that begins with investing in our colleagues”, commented Nizar Weshah, Area Vice President, Saudi Arabia, Hyatt. “We are thrilled to collaborate with the Ministry of Tourism and through the Hospitality Ambassadors programme, participating colleagues will gain valuable international on-the-job experience, strengthen their leadership capabilities and return with fresh perspectives that will help shape the future of hospitality across the Kingdom. Hospitality offers dynamic and rewarding careers with opportunities to grow, lead and build global experiences, and this programme is a powerful example of how we are helping Saudi talent realise that potential.”

As Hyatt continues to expand across Saudi Arabia, committing to developing our local talent remains just as important as developing new hotels. The Kingdom remains one of Hyatt’s most significant growth markets, with plans to triple its portfolio over the coming years. Recent milestones include the opening of Miraval The Red Sea, an all-inclusive luxury wellbeing concept and the Miraval brand’s first resort outside the United States, while Grand Hyatt The Red Sea and Hyatt Place AlUla are among the highly anticipated openings set to further expand Hyatt’s presence across the Kingdom.

The Hospitality Ambassadors programme builds on Hyatt’s broader commitment to developing Saudi talent and creating meaningful career pathways across the Kingdom. From developing future leaders through Hyatt’s General Manager Development Programme, to collaborating with educational institutions, Hyatt continues to invest in talent at every stage of the career journey while supporting the ambitions of Saudi Arabia to develop the next generation of leaders in hospitality and tourism.

The term “Hyatt” is used in this release for convenience to refer to Hyatt Hotels Corporation and/or one or more of its affiliates.
