Authentic Turkish Flavours, From Fire to Table – Where Food, Music, and Culture Come Alive

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Hazal, the much-anticipated Levantine dining destination by KRAIV, is now open at Atelier La Vie in Jeddah. Blending the warmth of a neighbourhood eatery with the indulgence of a sophisticated hookah lounge, Hazal promises to redefine the city’s culinary and social scene. Open daily, Hazal offers an impressive brunch and dinner menu.

Under the visionary leadership of CEO Amro Bagedo, KRAIV continues its legacy of creating homegrown concepts with Hazal, following the success of Myra, the celebrated French patisserie. Hazal is born from a passion for life’s simple joys – sharing incredible food, unwinding with friends and family, and savouring the timeless tradition of a perfectly packed hookah.

The menu celebrates the rich and diverse flavours of Turkey, Lebanon, Greece, and Egypt, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Guests can dive into a selection of meze’s like smoky baba ghanoush, hummus awerma with pine nuts, and feta paired with seasonal melon and mint. Highlights from the small plates include prawn casserole with garlic and paprika, crispy courgette fritters with herb labneh, and lamb manti – delicate pasta stuffed with lamb in a tomato and roasted garlic sauce. For mains, the slow-cooked ouzi lamb with cinnamon and saffron rice, sea bream meunière, and the cherry kebab with pine nuts and cherry molasses steal the spotlight. Dessert is equally indulgent, with options like Turkish milk cake and kunafeh served with pistachio and vanilla ice cream.

Hazal’s interiors are a design masterpiece, highlighted by a striking white oak arboreal installation that symbolises life and vitality. Warm natural finishes, terracotta tiles, and soothing pastel tones create a serene Mediterranean ambiance, enhanced by lush greenery. The lively open kitchen adds an element of culinary theatre, while the expansive outdoor terrace offers the perfect setting to unwind with a hookah experience.

Hazal is set to become Jeddah’s favourite spot, offering everything from a lively evening of meze and hookah to a relaxed breakfast, perfect for gathering with friends and family.
