Hail : The city of Hail is experiencing a significant surge in tourism, attracting visitors from both Saudi Arabia and abroad, particularly through the Saudi Winter program, themed “Winter in the Life.”
Recognized as a comprehensive tourist destination, Hail is well-prepared and brimming with promising investment opportunities. The Saudi tourism sector, supported by His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ahmed Al-Khatib, is facilitating the journey for investors. A total of 35 projects, including 14 new initiatives, have garnered investments amounting to 2.4 billion riyals, adding 2,000 hotel rooms to the area’s offerings. This growth highlights Hail’s appeal while enhancing the diversity of hospitality and experiences available.
These projects are projected to contribute over 180 million riyals annually to the region’s GDP, fostering sustainable economic activity within tourism-related sectors. As of the third quarter of this year, Hail boasts 96 facilities (a 48% increase) and more than 3,600 hotel rooms (a 36% increase) compared to the same period last year. By the end of Q3, Hail welcomed over 1.8 million tourists, generating 2.5 billion riyals in tourism spending.

The growth of Hail’s tourism sector is further boosted by the Saudi tourism system, which has introduced investment enablers and incentive programs to lower costs and expedite the conversion of opportunities into actionable projects. The Tourism Development Fund has also played a critical role by providing financing solutions to accelerate tourism and hospitality project development. Additionally, the Saudi Tourism Authority has invested 30 million riyals in promoting Hail as a tourist destination through the Saudi Winter program. This initiative includes over 300 media placements and partnerships with 50 entities, offering a variety of packages and deals to enhance travel decisions and enrich the experience for visitors from within and outside the Kingdom.
