Upcycled Bathtubs flourish with Home-grown Greens nurturing Fresh Ingredients for the hotel’s Sustainable Kitchen

Dubai : Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai is delighted to announce a heartfelt sustainability initiative, The Terrace Garden Creation taking place at the property this October. In line with Marriott International’s global sustainability vision, the hotel’s associates will come together to transform an open terrace space into a thriving green garden.

In a creative twist that reflects the hotel’s dedication to reusing and repurposing materials, the Urban Garden features bathtubs from guest rooms that have been transformed into planting pots. Instead of being discarded, these tubs have found new life as sustainable containers nurturing home-grown produce such as cherry tomatoes and rocca leaves. Once harvested, these fresh ingredients will be used in the hotel’s kitchen, bringing a touch of freshness and authenticity to the culinary offerings.

This meaningful activity will see associates actively engaging in every step of the process, from adding soil and gravel to planting seeds that will soon sprout into vibrant greenery. More than just an environmental effort, the initiative represents growth, teamwork, and the shared responsibility of creating a better, greener tomorrow.

The Terrace Garden Initiative aims to promote sustainable practices, encourage mindfulness toward nature, and bring a sense of serenity to the hotel environment. By turning an urban space into a mini oasis, Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai reinforces its ongoing commitment to community well-being and environmental stewardship.
