The new platform brings restaurant operations, analytics, QR ordering and customer loyalty together in one system, using AI to prepare routine tasks for owner approval and help turn customer data into repeat visits. The launch comes as the UAE food service market is projected to reach $50.21 billion by 2033, more than tripling in size from 2024.
Dubai : Fortis Digital Solutions, a UAE-based provider of POS and business management software, today announced the launch of FortisOS, the smart operating system for restaurants and cafés across the UAE. The platform was unveiled at Ballers, Downtown Dubai, one of FortisOS’s first customer venues, where F&B owners and industry leaders got an exclusive look at the product.
The launch comes as UAE restaurants compete harder to generate business. With around 2,336 new food establishments opening in the first half of 2025 alone, diners are becoming increasingly selective. According to a YouGov report published in 2025, 31% of UAE residents now eat out less often than a year ago, and 34% say loyalty points or rewards would encourage them to dine out.
FortisOS is designed to take the routine work of running a restaurant off the owner’s plate, giving F&B operators more time to focus on their guests, grow their business and bring customers back. Going beyond a traditional POS that records only transactions, FortisOS connects the systems and workflows behind a restaurant, helping owners manage everything from daily operations to customer retention, whether they run a single venue or multiple locations.
One System for the Entire Restaurant
It stitches together multiple solutions including POS, kitchen management, inventory, customer loyalty and QR ordering in one connected platform. Merchants don’t have to invest in several solutions and move between logins; everything happens seamlessly in one system. Whether an order comes from delivery, take-in or dine-in, it goes through the same flow.
Growing Customer Database
FortisOS also ensures that merchants can build lasting relationships with their customers. No matter the channel the customer comes from, such as QR ordering, website or dine-in, FortisOS links all activity and allows merchants to reward their customers. It also identifies inactive repeat customers and drafts WhatsApp messages for guests who have opted in. Once merchants send a campaign, FortisOS also measures campaign performance and any loyalty activity.
Takes care of the routine work
Beyond recording daily transactions, FortisOS helps operators manage all the admin work that goes on behind the business. It updates the stock and margin information in real time. At the end of each day, the platform also checks orders and payments, flags exceptions for review, prepares draft purchase orders, calculates tips according to configured rules and closes the books by itself.
‘Restaurant owners in the UAE don’t lack ambition but hours. Too much of their day goes to switching between systems, checking spreadsheets and reconciling the till, when it should go to their guests, says Artem Zarubenko, Group CEO at Fortis.
The main idea behind Fortis OS is to do the heavy lifting of running a restaurant where owners are just needed for approvals.FortisOS takes care of the day-to-day admin, freeing up restaurant owners to focus on what matters most: their customers, growing their business, and introducing new products.
FortisOS is hardware-agnostic, running on iOS, Android and desktop devices restaurants already own, with support for LAN, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi printers. Venues can get started immediately without buying new equipment or being locked into proprietary terminals.
