Yallah, Habibi Funk is back on January 21st
A reissue record label based in Germany, Habibi Funk Records is dedicated to making music from the Arab world and creating a better appreciation for its eclectic style and variety of influences and inspirations. The label was co-founded by Jannis Stürtz, who also works as a DJ using the name Habibi Funk. Committed to busting stereotypes of Arab music, Habibi Funk has re-released an expansive collection of Arabic music from the 1960 to the 80s, including compilations. The label aims to make sounds from the Arab world more widely accessible and to create a better appreciation for its eclectic style and variety of influences and inspirations.
Electric Pawn Shop has also introduced a new menu to keep offerings exciting. Kick things off with fresh cocktails sure to become classics like the refreshing Gangnam Gimlet, pair with delicious bar bites such as the Peking Pulled Duck Sando, Sichuan Shrimp Chive Dumpling and Kung Fu Prawn Tempura then end with sweet bites like the Lost In Translation Tiramiso
