Abu Dhabi, UAE-: Iran’s powerhouse pop singer Ebi took to the stage on Saadiyat Island last night, serenading a passionate crowd with a string of hits from across the past four decades as part of Experience Abu Dhabi’s ongoing Saadiyat Nights, the three-month outdoor concert series.

Known simply as ‘The Voice’, Ebi’s music and influence transcends generations, with his career spanning more than 50 years. Performing on the custom-built stage, the veteran vocalist serenaded the audience with a host of his most popular songs, including Setarehaye Sorbi, Nazi Naz Kon, and Khanoom Gol.

Calling out to the crowd in Persian, Ebi said: “Thank you for choosing to spend your evening with me. I hope it will be an unforgettable night for you Abu Dhabi.”

Saadiyat Nights is part of Abu Dhabi Calendar’s packed roster of year-round events catering to all tastes, spanning music, sports, comedy, family-friendly shows, cultural festivals, art exhibitions, and much more.

Aside from the music, concertgoers could also enjoy a selection of popular eats, including neighborhood pizza joint Pitfire, homegrown Mexican concept Lila Taquiera, award-winning burger hangout Eleven Green, specialty coffee and dessert vendor Nowhere Café and chic hotspot Aptitude Café.

Hosted on Saadiyat Island, the concert series is held close to the growing Saadiyat Cultural District which provides the perfect winter destination for locals and visitors.

Saadiyat Nights promises many more extraordinary performances in the coming weeks, including Canadian singer-songwriter Michael Bublé on 16 January (Ticketmaster.ae); American vocal harmony group Boyz II Men on 25 January (Ticketmaster.ae); Egypt’s legendary composer Omar Khairat on 1 February (Platinumlist.net); and US pop icon Christina Aguilera on 15 February (Ticketmaster.ae).
