Dubai, UAE (16 April 2024) The first three days of the festival were a huge success, kicking off at Dubai Opera. Katherine Ryan opened the festival with her witty humour, and the legendary French comedian, Gad Elmaleh, had two sold-out shows, delivering his new tour content to a hall of super fans. For the first time, the festival had a full Filipino line-up with Alex Calleja and his Comedy Crew taking over the main stage. Brainiac Live delivered their first-ever bilingual show for kids in Arabic and English, giving the matinee’s youthful audience tons of excitement. Internet Sensations, Shawn Chidiac AKA My Parents are Divorced, Sundeep Fernandez, Anand Raman, Abz Ali, and Imah Dumagay brought the house down. Kenny Sebastian closed out the main stage Sunday night with comedic flare.
Not only was the main stage a source of endless laughter, but with Comedy Bizarre, the festival offers smaller shows at the Dubai Opera Studio, giving local comedians the perfect platform to deliver relatable comedy club energy throughout the festival. Mike Eshaq, Yemeni-American comedian, also his the studio stage with his set Sleeping with the Yemeni.

Epically funny Zarna Garg will be an unmissable show in the Dubai Opera’s main hall, while Gursimran Khaba and Nitinn R. Miranni will stamp their brand on Desi Laughs in the Dubai Opera Studio. Bel Masry featuring Ahmed El Hareedy, Bernadette, Reem Nabil, and Walid Khairy, who will have the audience rolling with Egyptian humour at Roxy Cinemas, Dubai Hills Mall.
Friday, April 19
The Dubai Opera main stage will open with married podcasters Spencer & Vogue, followed by a show from the must-see Mo Gilligan.
At Roxy Cinemas, Dubai Hills Mall, Bel Masry will feature Egypt’s funniest men and women, including Ola Roshdy, Mahmoud Konafa, Islam Amin, Shehab El Ashry, and Hashem El Garhy. South African comedian Alfred Adriaan will also take the stage with real talk about being Unfit & 40.
Saturday, April 20
The legend Anubhav Singh Bassi will bring two back-to-back shows at Dubai Opera, followed by Comedy Bizarre at the studio.
At Roxy Cinemas, Dubai Hills Mall, Emirati Showcase: English Edition will bring you loved Emirati comedians, followed by legendary doctor-turned-comedian Riaad Moosa.
Sunday, April 21
For the final night of the festival, the Dubai Opera main stage will celebrate with an Arab showcase of comedians Ali, Eslam, Badr, Eddie, and Nermine in Bil 3arabi 3.0.
Borderline Funny will close out at Roxy Cinemas, Dubai Hills Mall with a special India vs. Pakistan line-up and a special surprise guest.
