Caterion Catering Holding Company announced its full readiness for Hajj season 1447 AH, unveiling an integrated service plan to support pilgrims across the Holy Sites. The company’s comprehensive system spans air catering, as well as the operation of hospitality and accommodation facilities, alongside essential support services throughout the pilgrimage.
Caterion’s services begin from the earliest travel stages, moving through air catering and Hajj flight-related hospitality, and continuing with airport lounge services and reception. The program then extends to the operation of hospitality, accommodation, and support facilities within the Holy Sites, reflecting the company’s end-to-end presence across both aviation and hospitality sectors.
For this year, Caterion will deliver expanded operational and hospitality services for pilgrims, including accommodation, reception, hospitality, cleaning, food and beverage operations, and ongoing support services throughout the Hajj period—aligned with the highest service standards.
In Mina, the company operates three buildings, each with capacity for approximately 1,400 pilgrims, supported by integrated suites and hospitality areas. These include coffee stations across multiple floors, in-room dining, and live cooking stations, designed to elevate the overall hospitality experience during the season.
Operations are also extended to Arafat and Muzdalifah, where Caterion provides food and hospitality services, field support, and prepares service areas and tents. The company manages central kitchens, supply chains, and refrigeration systems, ensuring continuous performance during peak demand while maintaining strict quality and safety controls.
Caterion’s preparations start well ahead of Hajj and continue throughout the season. They include menu planning, food safety procedures, operational simulations, equipment preparation, workforce management, and risk assessment to ensure full readiness across all operational phases.
Commenting on the announcement, Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Shuhail, CEO of Caterion Catering Holding Company, said:
“Caterion is proud to expand its role in serving pilgrims through an integrated operational and hospitality infrastructure—extending from in-flight catering and Hajj flight-related hospitality services to accommodation and operational hospitality services within the Holy Sites. This reflects our extensive national expertise and aligns with the Kingdom’s aspirations to enhance the pilgrim experience under Saudi Vision 2030.”
He added:
“We believe that the Hajj season is not only an operational challenge, but also a national responsibility that requires the highest levels of preparedness, integration, and service quality.”
Hani Al-Harbi, Director of the Hajj Campaigns Project, also noted that Caterion’s readiness reflects advanced integration between operations and hospitality. He said that multiple teams are working within a unified framework to deliver a more comfortable, high-quality, and reliable experience for pilgrims.
