The upcoming motorsport calendar will see over 50 thrilling events taking place in Abu Dhabi, kicking off in November at Yas Marina Circuit with the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Ethara introduces new junior categories across Yas Racing Series, including the Junior Dragster Challenge in 2024

 

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi-: Abu Dhabi is set to kick off a record-breaking season of adrenaline-pumping motorsport action for fans in November, featuring a thrilling calendar with more than 50 action-packed events including internationally renowned championships and coveted regional tournaments.

This year’s Yas Racing Series is set to begin this weekend, with the Gulf ProCar Championship and Gulf Radical Cup taking to the Yas Marina Circuit track from 27-29 October while organisers prepare the circuit for a record number of events this season.

Fans in the Middle East can look forward to the return of region’s biggest event weekend, as the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023 gears up for its 15th edition from 23 to 26 November.

Parallel to the #AbuDhabiGP weekend, motorsport enthusiasts can look forward to seeing the sport’s brightest young stars with the Formula 2 concluding its championship at Yas Marina Circuit with all eyes on the next F1 star that may emerge in the coming years.

The Formula 4 UAE Championship also returns to Yas Marina Circuit for the new season, with Yas Heat Racing set to compete on home soil following a promising debut season. Emirati racer Rashid Al Dhaheri is gearing up to make his eagerly awaited debut for Yas Heat Racing in the Formula 4 UAE Trophy Round taking place on #AbuDhabiGP weekend, before opening the season on Yas Island in January 2024.

The Yas Heat Racing F4 UAE team line-up also includes Keanu Al Azhari who returns to the team for the second season after a successful run with the team, and Zack Scoular, who makes his F4 UAE Debut as well.

As the pinnacle of endurance racing, the iconic Gulf 12 Hours race will take place once again in the capital from 8 to 10 December. The 13th edition of the thrilling race features an unprecedented number of competitors this season, all eyeing glory in a packed weekend at Yas Marina Circuit

Followers of the region’s leading drag and drifting challenges can look forward to the return of Yas Super Street Challenge and the Emirates Drift Championship, both returning to Yas Marina Circuit in January 2024.

Alongside the return of the UAE’s favourite local racing events, 2024 will see the introduction of a new category for junior racers in the Junior Dragster competition, featuring as part of the Yas Super Street Challenge weekends across the three rounds this season.

Aspiring young racers can also take part in the Rotax Max Challenge, with Yas Heat Karting set to compete in the 2024 competition, while the region’s top young drivers will compete in the returning Formula Regional Middle East Championship at Yas Marina Circuit, featuring as part of the driver pathway towards the top levels of the sport.

Endurance race fans will not have to wait long for further action, with the Asian Le Mans set for the final qualifying races from 1st to 4th February 2024 as drivers compete for a coveted spot on the grid at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.

Racing fanatics can also look forward to the return of several locally beloved events, including UAE Time Attack, Gulf ProCar Series and Clio Cup Middle East across five rounds of this season’s thrilling Yas Racing Series.
