World Leading Sustainable Hospitality Group Enters UAE With Launch Of Two Restaurants In Dubai Hills

Tigrus Holding will launch Shvili, serving Georgian cuisine and Osteria Mario Italian this March at Dubai Hills Mall

The first Holding company to commit to zero waste since 2018, fully compensate their carbon footprint and sustain wildlife will support the conservation of endangered Caracal cats in the UAE.

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES-: Tigrus Holding, founded by global restauranteur Henrik Winther, brings its sustainable business approach to the UAE this March with the launch of Shvili and Osteria Mario in Dubai Hills Mall. The restaurant concept hosts two brands in one space while sharing a no waste menu initiative. The outlets are separated by a children’s activity hub made from eco-friendly materials and will host daily cooking classes and even nature-based activity sessions to educate and entertain children while parents enjoy their meal.

Osteria Mario

Inspired by sunny Europe, Osteria Mario mirrors Abruzo, the greenest part of southern Italy, by surrounding diners with shrubbery and light wood furnishings as they tuck into a light and tasty menu of regional Italian cuisine. Must-try dishes include assorted Italy Salami picante with freshly baked bresaola and Baked bell peppers with Stracciatella cheese, romesco sauce, and ginger oil. Founder Henrik Winther recommends Tagliolini with lobster as his star dish. Located at the park-facing end of the restaurant, Osterio Mario is filled with light and luscious live plants. It has direct access to a shared restaurant terrace, where diners can enjoy views of Dubai Hills Park.

Shvili 

Shvili’s cosy aesthetic is adorned with live plants and dark wood, akin to a Georgian home. Serving authentic food, Head Chef Lea Mardaleishvili from Georgia, recommends Satsivi, which has melt-in-the-mouth chicken thigh and promises an extra creamy walnut sauce and Adjarian khachapuri served fresh from the oven topped with Imeritian cheese and egg.

Henrik Winther, Founder of the Tigrus restaurant holding company, says about the UAE expansion, “Tigrus is the first restaurant holding company in Europe, Middle East and Central Asia to fully compensate for its carbon footprint. We support the principles of conscious consumption, engage in the restoration of forest areas, and successfully implement programs to protect animals in the regions where we are located. In the UAE, we will be working on an initiative to protect Caracal cats, which are under threat of extinction. By operating “green restaurants,” we’re not just doing a good deed, but ensuring that we’re making a contribution to a healthy future for the planet.”

Shvili and Osteria Mario are in Dubai Hills Mall, First Floor, Nearest Parking: Level 1 D4 – Park Restaurants and are open Sunday – Thursday from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm and Friday – Saturday 10am – 12am.
