  • Uber Yacht will arrive in Ibiza, introducing a new way to enjoy the island in ultimate luxury with a private yacht.
  • A first-of-its-kind water transport service will launch in Venice for visitors to get around the Venetian Lagoon at the tap of a button.
  • Uber Boat will expand beyond Mykonos to new locations throughout Greece and visitors to Paris this summer can pick-up Uber Cruise to take a trip down the river Seine.

As millions of people around the world pack their bags for Europe, Uber has today unveiled its summer travel products designed to help tourists go anywhere by boat in some of the most popular destinations across the continent.

The series of magical nautical experiences setting sail with Uber this summer will include the most luxurious mode of transport ever to launch on its app. Following Uber’s launch in Europe’s party capital last year, Uber Yacht will arrive on the shores of Ibiza in August, giving customers an affordable way to travel in ultimate style.

In a world first, this once-in-a-lifetime product will allow holidaymakers to pre-book a private yacht for the day directly via the Uber app. Departing from Ibiza Town Marina every day at 12pm, Uber Yacht will offer groups of up to 8 people the opportunity to sail around the white isle in a luxurious Sunseeker Yacht for just €200 per head*.

Each 8-hour trip comes with its own personal skipper, a complimentary bottle of champagne and locally sourced artisan snacks. In Uber style, transfers to and from the yacht are included – from anywhere on the island.

From exploring the crystal waters of Formentera to sunsets at the legendary rock of Es Vedra, Uber Yacht will be available to pre-book via Uber Reserve in Ibiza starting on 26 July and a minimum of 24 hours in advance, with the product available during August.

Uber Yacht leads a boat-load of new travel products launching across Europe just in time for the summer holidays. Starting in July, Uber will launch a first-of-its-kind water transport service in Italy’s most popular aquatic city, Venice. Customers can use the Uber app to summon a ‘Limo Boat’ on-demand to get around the Venetian Lagoon at the tap of a button.

Priced from €120 per trip, the boat service can accommodate up to 6 people per trip and will be available to book on demand between 8am and 8pm each day.

Later in July, Uber Boat in Greece will expand from Mykonos to Athens, Corfu and Santorini. Available to book in the Uber app, the product will allow visitors to travel in style to beach clubs, visit scenic coves and reach remote locales.

And those visiting Paris this summer can jump aboard an all-electric boat to enjoy an Uber Cruise, a free one-hour private tour down the river Seine with their friends or family. While on the Cruise, they will take in breathtaking views of Notre Dame, Le Louvre and the Eiffel Tower all while sipping some bubbly.

These new travel products are launching in response to rising demand for Uber’s services in tourist hotspots around Europe. Data from summer 2023, shows demand from international customers for Uber’s mobility services increased last year by up to 55% in places like Greece and Spain. In fact, more than 6.5m international customers used the Uber app in Europe’s most popular destinations last summer, with over 800,000 people opening the Uber app in the past 12 months in Ibiza alone.

Anabel Diaz, Vice President, EMEA Mobility at Uber, said: “At Uber we want to give our customers the opportunity to go anywhere, wherever they are travelling. This summer we are adding a series of bucket-list worthy nautical experiences to the Uber app in some of Europe’s hottest destinations, helping holidaymakers make the most of their trip on the high seas. Whether it’s sailing around Ibiza in your own private yacht or experiencing the Venetian Lagoon by boat, we’re thrilled to add some Uber magic to our customers’ holidays this summer.”

Availability of Uber Yacht, Uber Cruise, and all other Uber Boat trips are expected to be limited and subject to weather conditions.
