“According to the World Economic Forum’s 2024 Global Gender Gap Report, the UAE is ranked as a leading country in gender equality in the region. As an Emirati woman, I am not only proud to be a citizen of a nation that celebrates the achievements of women, but furthermore provides limitless opportunities to reach senior leadership positions throughout society.

“Recognised for driving gender equality, the UAE’s leadership has consistently led the way for equal opportunity, most notably by investing in several initiatives and projects targeted at empowering women.

At DIFC, we also express our gratitude to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and the ‘Mother of the Nation’, for believing in the phenomenal contribution of women towards the progress of the country. Her support has been pivotal in encouraging Emirati women to lead pioneering achievements across vital sectors.

“As we celebrate this year’s Emirati Women’s Day, continuing with the theme of ‘We Collaborate for Tomorrow’, DIFC continues its efforts to embody an ecosystem where women are presented with a supportive and enabling work environment that truly empowers and creates value. At DIFC we devote our efforts in tapping their skills and potential, which ultimately contributes to the UAE’s growth.”
