Following an exhilarating Clash at the Castle: Scotland event, superstars are set to chase destiny as they try to win the coveted Money in the Bank contract at the much-anticipated WWE Premium Live Event; WWE Money in the Bank.
Taking place on Saturday 6th July, WWE Money in the Bank will air exclusively in the region via MBC’s Shahid, from Toronto, Canada. This marks the first Money in the Bank event to be held in Canada and the second consecutive to take place outside of the United States, after the 2023 event.
The thrilling event is based around the Money in the Bank multi-person ladder match, six superstars attempt to retrieve the Money in the Bank contract dangling above the ring with the winner of the Women’s and Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, obtaining a contract that grants the winner a match for a championship of their choice at any time within the next year.
The match card for this event, includes:
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Damian Priest (c) vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins
World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest battles Seth “Freakin” Rollins for the title at WWE Money in the Bank. Rollins was the first to carry the new World Heavyweight Title, and he quickly lifted the gold into elite status. At WrestleMania XL, McIntyre finally ended that reign, only to lose the title moments later when Damian Priest cashed in the Money in the Bank contract.
When Rollins emerged for the first time since The Show of Shows on the June 17 edition of Raw, Priest offered a title opportunity to Rollins to show The Visionary and everybody else that he is the Superstar who truly deserves the gold. A week later, Priest and Rollins came face-to-face and raised the stakes of their match. A Damian Priest win will mean The Visionary could no longer challenge him, and a Rollins win would mean El Campeón must leave The Judgment Day.
- Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens vs. The Bloodline
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will join forces with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens against The Bloodline. The Bloodline have a long and tumultuous history with Rhodes, Orton and Owens. When Roman Reigns took a leave after losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to The American Nightmare at WrestleMania, Solo Sikoa took the mantle of Tribal Chief and made significant changes to the deadly faction.
At WWE Clash at the Castle, Sikoa orchestrated a 3-on-1 attack on Rhodes, but KO and The Viper jumped into the brawl and evened the odds. Then, on the June 21 edition of SmackDown, Jacob Fatu emerged to assault Orton and Owens before hitting Rhodes with a Samoan Splash onto the announce table from the top rope. As a result, the stage is set for a highly anticipated Six-Man Tag Team Match.
- WWE Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bron Breakker
Sami Zayn will defend the Intercontinental Championship against the toughest challenger of his reign, the dangerous Bron Breakker. Breakker has left destruction in his wake after being left out of the King of the Ring Tournament, and now he’s turned his attention to Sami Zayn and the Intercontinental Title. Zayn is coming off an emotionally draining rivalry with Chad Gable, and he has no time to rest with the ferocious Breakker waiting for him in Toronto.
