Dubai: talabat has been awarded the Delivering Excellence Award by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Police, recognizing its commitment to safer roads and responsible delivery operations, enabled through sustained and transparent collaboration with Dubai Government entities.
The Delivering Excellence Award affirms talabat’s partnership-first approach, highlighting the impact of public–private collaboration in advancing road safety, protecting delivery riders, and building long-term trust. It reinforces talabat’s role as a responsible platform partner contributing to Dubai’s wider transport and safety ambitions, while delivering safer, more reliable experiences for riders, customers, and the community.

As part of its continued leadership in rider safety, talabat became the first and only food and grocery delivery aggregator in the UAE to implement a telematics system for its rider fleet. This first-mover initiative leverages real-time data to monitor driving behaviour, encourage safer riding practices, and support proactive interventions, setting a new benchmark for responsible delivery operations across the sector.
The recognition reflects a series of initiatives delivered in close collaboration with government partners, including rider safety training programmes, the Summer Together initiative providing rest areas across the city, and bicycle pilot programmes with the RTA to support safer and more sustainable delivery models. The Summer Together initiative alone recorded over 462,000 rider visits and distributed more than 42,650 litres of water. In parallel, talabat has continued to strengthen rider wellbeing by setting clearer operational expectations for its fleet partners, including enhanced safety and insurance standards, reinforcing its commitment to those who play a vital role in keeping the city moving.
