Riyadh : The Saudi Tourism Authority has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Expo 2030 Riyadh, reinforcing collaboration to boost tourism and enhance the overall visitor experience during the global event.
The agreement was formalized by Fahad Hameed Al-Din, CEO and Board Member of the Saudi Tourism Authority, and Talal Al-Marri, CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, the entity responsible for delivering the mega event.
Under the MoU, both parties will work closely to develop innovative tourism offerings and curated experiences designed to attract international visitors. The partnership will also focus on promoting Saudi Arabia across key global markets, while aligning marketing and media strategies to position the Kingdom as a leading travel destination.
A key component of the collaboration includes enhancing the visitor journey through world-class events, seamless coordination, and the exchange of data and insights. These efforts aim to ensure Expo 2030 Riyadh plays a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector.
Commenting on the agreement, Fahad Hameed Al-Din emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared ambition to welcome the world and showcase Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage, diverse destinations, and renowned hospitality. He noted that the collaboration will help position Expo 2030 Riyadh as a milestone moment for tourism development, aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Talal Al-Marri highlighted that the MoU marks a significant step in unifying efforts to deliver an exceptional World Expo. He added that leveraging the Saudi Tourism Authority’s expertise will strengthen visitor engagement and further elevate the global appeal of Expo 2030 Riyadh.

Expo 2030 Riyadh is set to be one of the most ambitious global exhibitions ever staged. Spanning approximately 6 million square meters across five districts, the event will host participation from 197 countries and 29 international organizations, attracting over 42 million visits.
Scheduled to run from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, under the theme “A Vision for the Future,” the Expo will serve as a global platform for innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving. Visitors can expect immersive cultural zones, daily programming, and advanced AI-powered experiences that blend Saudi heritage with cutting-edge technology.
