The second pillar is the Rosewood Sustains initiative, which aims to inspire, enrich, and influence people positively, relying on an environmentally friendly system that focuses on sustainability approach and places hospitality at the heart of its business.
Therefore, single-use plastics were eliminated and replaced with biodegradable or recyclable materials, and 550 halogen lights were replaced with LEDs in all facilities, contributing to a saving of 216,810 kWh.
More efficient air conditioners have also been installed, resulting in energy savings to date of 670,000 kWh, which has reflected positively in reducing gas emissions year-to-date by 12% and will contribute to the success of Rosewood’s ambitious plans to reach 100% carbon neutrality by 2050, as well as 75% waste recycling by 2025.
