The second volume, produced by Red Sea Studios, lands today on streaming platforms and across the destination itself
Riyadh : Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism destinations, has released the second volume of its in-house music album, “Red Sea Waves Vol. 2,” produced by Red Sea Studios, the company’s media and creative production arm.
The new record picks up where the first left off. That debut turned the Red Sea coast into something you could hear, and its reception travelled well beyond the destination’s shores.
Vol. 2 is less an album than a passage. It moves through the cultural and natural landscape of the coast, setting an unmistakably Saudi character, its instruments, its rhythms, its spirit, against a global sensibility in production and arrangement. The result is best met with eyes closed: a wave easing into stillness, a breeze crossing the dunes, a single note that holds both the longing of a place and its ambition.
Crafted in the studios of Red Sea Studios, the album is the work of a team that wove the region’s musical heritage into contemporary production, lending it a sound of its own, one that answers the destination’s promise of an experience to be lived through every sense, not simply seen.
“We wanted the second volume to be a more mature extension of what we started,” said Adham Alzanbagi, Associate Director of Production and Filming, Content Production at Red Sea Global. “The idea was to take Saudi roots and build a bridge from them to the world, so that listeners anywhere can feel the soul of this coast. Music here isn’t background; it’s a language that tells the story of a destination alive with culture.”
The album will not live on streaming services alone. Its tracks will play across every electric vehicle in the destination, accompanying guests as they move, and will carry through a number of the destination’s venues, becoming part of the fabric of the experience and a sound that greets visitors from the moment they arrive. “Red Sea Waves Vol. 2” is available worldwide on Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, and Anghami.
The release arrives as The Red Sea, set along a pristine stretch of coast in western Saudi Arabia, continues to add to its offering. Since welcoming its first guests in 2023, the destination now counts 11 operating hotels, the latest being Miraval The Red Sea, the brand’s first property outside the United States, and Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea. Six further resorts are due to open on Shura Island, the destination’s beating heart, in the months ahead.
Spanning untouched islands, mountain terrain, and sweeping dunes, the destination is connected to the world through The Red Sea International Airport, with direct international flights from Dubai, Doha, and Milan, and regular domestic service from Riyadh and Jeddah. It remains a global benchmark for sustainable tourism, running entirely on renewable energy around the clock.
