As part of a series of world-class bar collaborations, Nobu Dubai welcomes Ran Van Ongevalle and Matthis Verhaeghe of the renowned Bar Ran in Belgium.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – The bar team at Nobu Dubai, helmed by award-winning bar manager Angelo Immorlano, welcomes Ran Van Ongevalle, Founder and Matthis Verhaeghe, Head Bartender of the celebrated Bar Ran in Belgium, for an exciting collaboration. Set to take place for one night only on Tuesday 8th October, guests can look forward to exploring the intriguing world of mixology with four unique creations by Ran and four by Angelo, specially crafted for the evening.
Crowned as Gault&Millau Belgium’s Cocktail Bar of the Year in 2023, Bar Ran, will present signature beverages, including Dragon’s Blood featuring Herradura Plata, strawberry sake, Tepextate and Habanero vinegar as well as its Vintage Sherry Cobbler featuring Diplomático Reserva, Creme d’Abricot, sherry, orange and China vermouth. Meanwhile, Nobu Dubai will treat guests to exclusive concoctions such as its Green Hawaiian, which is a delightful blend of Woodford Reserve, Jamaican rum, Tepache, and coconut yoghurt, all elevated by the unconventional addition of BBQ sauce.
Nestled near the Grote Markt and the Royal City Theatre in Bruges, Bar Ran is a crowd favourite, courtesy of cocktail maestros Ran Van Ongevalle and Janah Van Cleven. Drawing inspiration from his global travels and rich background in hospitality, Ran never fails to delight guests with special flavour combinations. His signatures, particularly the selection of daiquiris, elevate the bar to a league of its own. With flair and creativity, he masterfully shakes up cocktails that not only refresh the palate but also take patrons on a journey through a variety of intriguing flavour profiles, utilising seasonal ingredients and inventive techniques.

With over 17 years of industry experience, Spanish-Italian native Angelo, is the architect and driving force behind Nobu Dubai’s enhanced beverage programme. The bar offers a range of exquisite signature cocktails that can only be found in Dubai, driven by Angelo’s mixology knowledge and passion, that won’t go unnoticed.
The Nobu Dubai x Ran Bar collaboration will take place on Tuesday 8th October from 9pm to midnight at the Nobu Dubai bar. Signature cocktails are priced from AED 75.
