The new ‘easy like a Monno morning’ breakfast menu is now serving weekly on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 8am and 12pm.
Jumeirah’s charming artisanal Italian eatery, Monno, welcomes al fresco season with the launch of its all-new weekend Italian breakfast dining experience. The new ‘easy like a Monno morning’ menu is now serving weekly on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 8am and 12pm, with outdoor dining available.
Designed to be leisurely, relaxing and truly Italian, Monno’s first-ever breakfast offering serves up all-time international breakfast favourites married with cherished culinary traditions, flavours and ingredients from Italy.
Pizza for breakfast? Monno’s kitchen has it covered. Think breakfast sourdough pizzettas topped with an assortment of toppings including bacon scrambled eggs with sour cream and Parmigiano Reggiano snow or sunny side up eggs with freshly shaven black winter truffle. The creamy baby burrata on homemade pesto spread with cherry tomatoes is another tempting option, and for those with a sweet tooth, the Nutella pizzetta sprinkled with pistachio crumble is sure to satisfy appetites.
Kitchen specials include Wagyu salami shakshuka, classic Italian fontina cheese toast with veal ham, and benedict avo-egg on a grilled croissant with hollandaise.
An Italian highlight comes from the pastry team in the form of the much-loved ‘bombolone’ – an Italian doughnut made with a soft yeast dough that’s fried and lightly covered in granulated sugar and then filled with varied cream fillings, including options like custard cream, pistachio cream, or chocolate cream. Other treats from the pastry kitchen include custard cream and fig jam French toast, burnt meringue croissant, and more.
To drink, find all the go-to Italian espresso-based brews on the menu alongside teas, fresh juices, and smoothies.
Commenting on the inspiration behind the new launch, Monno’s Head Chef Federico Bartoli: “As an Italian, I felt that Dubai’s breakfast scene was missing somewhere to go to enjoy an authentic Italian breakfast, so we decided to create a breakfast menu showcasing Italian morning favourites. The star of the pastry section is the homemade ‘bombolone’, which is an Italian fried doughnut, coated with sugar and stuffed with custard cream. We also have French croissants, and for the savoury section we have blended some of the most beloved international breakfast items like egg, bacon and cheese served on a baby sourdough pizza base, instead of a slice of sourdough.”
A charming, casual and wholesome space that welcomes all ages alike, Monno presents honest Italian food and a chilled-out neighbourhood vibe – much like that of a classic Trattoria found on the back streets of quaint towns in Italy. Aiming to evoke the feeling of being at home for its guests, Monno sets the scene for a relaxing breakfast for the whole family with both indoor and outdoor terrace seating available.
Monno’s new weekend breakfast menu is now serving weekly on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am and 12pm.
