Jeddah : The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Foundation, held a press briefing today for the upcoming 1447 AH Hajj Conference and Exhibition. The event, themed “From Makkah to the World,” will take place in Jeddah from November 9-12, 2025, with broad participation from government, private, local, and international entities, including academics and representatives from Hajj affairs offices. Over 2,400 trainees from around the globe are expected to benefit from the conference.
During the briefing, Dr. Ghassan Al-Nuaimi, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and Sultan Al-Awairdi, the spokesperson for the King Abdulaziz Foundation, discussed the significance of the conference theme. More than 150,000 visitors are anticipated, featuring 143 specialized sessions and workshops, along with 270 exhibitors and 225 speakers.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi highlighted that the Hajj Conference and Exhibition will cover an expansive area of 60,000 square meters, encompassing 18 diverse sectors related to Hajj services. He noted that this year’s fifth edition builds on the success of the last conference, which attracted over 120,000 visitors and participation from 150 countries.
The conference aims to serve as an international platform for exchanging expertise and showcasing best practices within the Hajj ecosystem. It focuses on integrating technology, infrastructure, and human resources to enhance services for pilgrims. Key initiatives include the “Innovation Zone,” which explores future services using modern technologies, sustainable engineering solutions, artificial intelligence, and crowd management. Dr. Al-Nuaimi invited specialists to participate in this significant annual gathering, which promotes knowledge exchange and innovation in the Hajj system.
Sultan Al-Awairdi discussed the foundation’s inaugural participation in enriching the conference’s scientific and cultural program, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and the keen interest of the Foundation’s CEO, Turki bin Mohammed Al-Shuwaier. Contributions include the “History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques Forum,” which examines the evolution of Hajj and the role of technology in documenting this vital experience, alongside an exhibition celebrating “100 Years of Care for the Two Holy Mosques.” This exhibition includes documentary displays and rare historical photographs, providing a rich visual and historical journey through original documents and artifacts.
Al-Awairdi emphasized the foundation’s commitment to documenting and promoting the history of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques worldwide. Their aim is to present informative content that highlights the evolution of the Hajj journey and introduces visitors to the cultural heritage of the Kingdom in serving pilgrims. He noted the importance of documenting the history of the Two Holy Mosques and the efforts made by the Kingdom in supporting them.
Over three days, researchers and specialists will present new insights on the history of Hajj using modern methods that benefit education, media, and research. The forum will feature knowledge enrichment and active participation from researchers and historians from within and outside the Kingdom. Al-Awairdi reaffirmed the foundation’s mission to preserve and document the Kingdom’s history and that of the Two Holy Mosques, making it a beacon of knowledge that reflects the Kingdom’s civilizational image and aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030.
