Hong Kong-– Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijingan exquisite property nestled in the heart of a traditional hutong neighbourhood, opens its doors today. With just 42 beautifully appointed courtyard houses, this marks the Group’s second hotel in the Chinese capital, offering a blend of luxury and local culture.

The opening ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the owning company, Beijing Tianjie Group Co., Ltd. They were joined by Amanda Hyndman, Chief People & Culture Officer, Alex Schellenberger, Senior Vice President Brand, Emil Leung, Area Vice President Operations and Andy Guan, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, all of whom took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony which marked the hotel’s official inauguration.

Following the ceremony, the much-anticipated signature fan of Mandarin Oriental Qianmen was also unveiled. Designed by renowned Chinese artist Xu Bing, it incorporates his original “Square Character Calligraphy”, which arranges alphabets into rectangular forms that resemble Chinese characters. “Unveil Beijing’s Soul” is inscribed on the fan in Chinese ink, capturing the spirit of the hotel.
