Lily Hoa Nguyen, Founder and Executive Chef of Vietnamese Foodies joins forces with Chef Jhovani Manalo for an intimate journey of flavours
Following the success of the first Dining Duet event, Chef Lily Hoa Nguyen has announced a second event, collaborating with Chef Jhovani Manalo for an exclusive one night only evening, taking place at 3 Fils on November 27th 2024 from 7pm. Guests will be dining on the outdoor terrace with stunning skyline views
Chefs Lily Hoa Nguyen and Jhovani Manalo bring their individual culinary skill and creativity to the second Dining Duet event, hosted by Samantha Wood of Foodiva. Lily, the visionary behind Vietnamese Foodies – launched in 2018 has grown the brand to include nine locations across Dubai. Under her guidance, the brand has gained multiple prestigious awards, with Lily herself being recognised on Caterer Middle East’s Women in F&B Power List numerous years consecutively. Vietnamese Foodies has established itself as a Dubai’s top choice for genuine Vietnamese flavours, offering dishes that are authentic, fresh, vibrant, and healthy.
Chef Jhovani Manalo, joining forces with Chef Lily, brings a wealth of experience to this collaboration. Originally from the Philippines, he enjoys infusing his Filipino heritage into his culinary creations. With over five years at 3 Fils, Chef Jhovani led the team as Head Chef when the restaurant claimed the top spot on the World’s 50 Best MENA list in 2022 and has consistently maintained a place in the Top 10 since. This year, 3 Fils was also awarded a prestigious Bib Gourmand by Michelin, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to excellence under his leadership.
Together, Chef Lily and Chef Manalo will merge their rich culinary backgrounds to create an extraordinary dining experience for their guests. Guests will enjoy a menu of eight dishes with four appetisers (two crafted by Chef Lily Hoa Nguyen and two by Chef Jhovani Manalo), two main courses (one from each chef), and two desserts (one from each chef).
