Located at Atlantis The Royal, the award-winning restaurant is debuting a special menu inspired by the diverse cebiches from La Mar locations around the world, available from 24th to 29th June.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – La Mar by acclaimed Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio, invites visitors and residents alike on an exquisite journey celebrating the flavours of Peru’s beloved national dish, cebiche. Crafted by La Mar’s Chef de Cuisine Cesar Ulloa and his talented team, this exclusive menu features eight signature cebiches from La Mar restaurants globally. Available from Monday, 24th June to Saturday, 29th June, this limited-time menu offers the very best of authentic Peruvian gastronomy.
The specially curated menu invites diners to delve into and explore cebiches from eight La Mar locations worldwide. Guests have the freedom to choose from delectable cebiche varieties such as Cebiche La Mar San Francisco featuring catch of the day, sunchoke Leche De Tigre and chips, Cebiche La Mar Miami with salmon, Chifa Leche De Tigre and peanuts, or the signature Cebiche La Mar Lima, where Gastón Acurio opened the first La Mar restaurant in 2005, with the dish highlighting the catch of the day and five elements of Leche De Tigre. The menu also takes a flavourful journey through the Middle East, with Cebiche La Mar Dubai including the catch of the day, grilled octopus, avocado and classic Leche De Tigre. Other menu selections showcase tantalizing cebiches from locations such as Argentina, Chile, Bogota, and Doha.
Renowned for fresh ingredients and vibrant flavours, Peru’s cebiche, which originated nearly 2,000 years ago, continues to captivate palates across the globe. Guests can enjoy the menu in La Mar’s relaxed atmosphere as they opt to take a seat in the spacious indoor restaurant or at the bustling cebiche bar, where Acurio’s team of expert chefs freshly prepare marinated fish and display the daily arrivals of seafood and whole fish.
One of the world’s leading Peruvian restaurants, La Mar not only celebrates the authentic and diverse flavours of its gastronomy but also highlights its role in Peru’s cultural identity. UNESCO has recently added Peru’s cebiche and its cultural surroundings to the Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The recognition highlights the significance of artisanal sustainable fishes, traditional ceviche cooks in cevicherías, regional variations of the dish, and how the knowledge of ingredients and techniques is passed down through generations in Peruvian families.
The special cebiche menu is available from Monday, 24th June to Saturday, 29th June at La Mar by Gastón Acurio, located at Atlantis The Royal. Prices range from AED 90 to AED 150 per dish.
