Co-founded by acclaimed Japanese chef Kana Hashimoto and visionary entrepreneur Gabriel Faflei, Japanos blends Japan’s culinary traditions with a modern touch, appealing to an international audience. The Dubai location is the brand’s first in the Middle East, representing an exciting milestone in its mission to share the richness of Japanese cuisine with the world.

The interiors of Japanos reflect the harmonious blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics and contemporary design. Inspired by the principles of Japanese minimalism and simplicity, the space features natural oak and concrete as its dominant materials, exuding a calm yet modern vibe. Guests can sit at communal tables, intimate two-tops, or bar stools at the sushi counter, fostering a versatile and inviting atmosphere. Vibrant commissioned artwork, a signature of Japanos locations, adds a playful pop of colour, while leafy potted plants bring a refreshing touch of nature to the space.

At Japanos, every dish is meticulously crafted to bring the authentic flavours of Japan. Curated by acclaimed Taste Master Kana Hashimoto, the menu showcases the artistry of Japanese cuisine through the use of natural, high-quality ingredients, many of which are sourced directly from Japan’s prefectures. Each dish is a testament to Japan’s rich culinary heritage, offering diners an exceptional experience that captures its true essence.

Japanos takes pride in its authentic shoyu ramen, crafted using ancient cooking techniques and a top-secret shoyu sauce recipe passed down through generations of Hashimoto’s family. The meticulous 48-hour preparation process ensures a stock rich in flavour, with the chicken stock alone requiring an average of 20 hours to perfect. These hearty bowls will transport guests to Japan’s vibrant yokocho alleyways from the very first slurp.
