Riyadh- For the third consecutive year, the LEAP exhibition returns to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, witnessing this year, in its third edition, French participation in a broad manner represented by a special pavilion for this country. The commercial section of the French Embassy in Saudi Arabia, “Business France”, did not hesitate to mark the first official participation of the French in this event with great significance. It is scheduled that an official delegation from France will come specifically to inaugurate this pavilion, represented by Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness, Francophonie and French Nationals Abroad Franck Riester, the General Manager of “Business France”, Laurent Saint-Martin, and the Director of France 2030 Program, in addition to the French Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ludovic Pouille.
This pavilion will witness the signing of agreements between the French and Saudi sides, confirming the cooperation and strategic relations between the two countries. One of the most important (MOU) memoranda of understanding is expected to be signed between the commercial section of the French Embassy in Saudi Arabia, “Business France”, and STC – Inspire U, the first incubator in the Kingdom and an encourager to support and develop entrepreneurial projects based on information and communication technology and innovation.
Through this cooperation, we will witness an exchange of experiences between the two parties in this regard, in addition to contributing to the development and acceleration of the success of French startups in Saudi Arabia by granting them access to telecommunications networks and other valuable resources.
The French pavilion in Hall 5 – Booths H5.G10 and H5.G20 is an important opportunity for French companies that have come to the Kingdom with the aim of supporting it, especially in the stage of development and the continuous growth in the technological sector.
It is not surprising to find the French in such an exhibition, especially considering France’s classification among the leading countries in the field of technology globally and the first in Europe. It provides innovative technological solutions in various fields such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things. Figures in this context indicate that French startups managed to raise 715 funding rounds worth 8.3 billion euros in 2023.
One of these companies, whose activities revolve around digital strategy and consulting, Atos, present at the exhibition – the French pavilion, is very enthusiastic about contributing to shaping a digital future for the Kingdom. Through its initiative related to digital transformation, smart city offerings, and digital platforms, it is capable of contributing to sustainable growth for Saudi Arabia in this field, while helping institutions adapt to the digital landscape, overcome challenges, enhance their cybersecurity posture, and harness the power of cloud computing to drive growth and competitiveness.
This company has demonstrated its intention to invest in the Saudi market, following the opening of its regional headquarters in Riyadh. Today, it collaborates with the Saudi Telecommunications Company “Zain,” and the two have signed an agreement to integrate their solutions and services, especially those related to infrastructure and communication networks, to meet the growing demand for advanced digital solutions from companies in Saudi Arabia, thus better meeting the needs of their customers and enhancing their growth in a flexible and scalable manner.
Atos’ work extends beyond just telecommunications to include other sectors, especially in terms of signing a strategic cooperation memorandum with the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic Sports.
