The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the principality of Qassim Region, with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the two parties within the reserve, in addition to activating ecotourism and activating joint development programs, and achieving environmental conservation goals, which contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority CEO Eng. Mohammed Al-Shaalan and the principality of Qassim Region Deputy Dr. Abdullah Al-Saqr.

The memorandum of understanding aims to enhance integrated work and joint cooperation to preserve the ecosystem and the safety of natural resources, and to enhance partnership in sustainable development programs and integrate efforts between government agencies and the private sector in supporting ecotourism projects.

The principality of Qassim Region will provide its capabilities and expertise to support the objectives of the agreement through administrative supervision of government agencies, and the private sector in the region, enabling the Authority to provide its development and tourism services and programs effectively.

The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority is a unique destination for ecotourism with its picturesque nature, pure environment, unique biodiversity and rich heritage that includes archaeological and historical landmarks such as King Abdulaziz Palace in Lina, the historic Lina Dome and Market, the old Hajj road known as Darb Zubaydah, and environmental landmarks such as Jabal Al-Alim, the Great Nafud and other attractive landmarks.
