The oven doors are now open to Dubai customers, serving up heavenly bakes, world-renowned doughnuts and iconic sourdough pizza slices
Known across the pond for their delicious delicacies, Bread Ahead has now opened a permanent fixture in Mall of Emirates. Open seven days a week from 10am to midnight, the iconic London bakery will be selling its generously portioned sourdough pizza in four flavours, a variety of brioche rolls, generously filled doughnuts – in all of their delicious flavours from homemade jam to pistachio – as well as an extensive drinks offering and their famous bread & pastries.
From the epicentre of London’s food scene, the bakery brings the eclectic flavours of a culinary melting pot to Dubai. Bread Ahead’s approach is simple; embracing quality seasonal ingredients that speak for themselves. Having opened in the bustling Borough Market in 2013, Bread Ahead has since become a destination for food fanatics across the globe.
Everything produced at Bread Ahead is developed with the same artisanal approach, whether it’s classic French patisserie or a humble loaf. Bread Ahead favours traditional recipes, expect the likes of Smoked Salmon Bridge Rolls (AED 24), Chicken Caesar Brioche Rolls (AED 39), Signature Pizza flavours Margherita (AED 26), Pepperoni (AED 30), Spicy Chicken (AED 35) and Veggie (AED 28) by the slice or the whole 18-inch pizza starting from AED 104. Find bakes from cinnamon buns (AED 15), banana cake (AED 22), filled croissants (AED 14) and of course, the signature Bread Ahead doughnuts (AED 18).
Matthew Jones, the master baker behind Bread Ahead began his working life as a Chef, fortunate to have worked with some of the UK’s finest chefs, he became increasingly drawn to patisserie and bread making which has shaped the past 25 years of his career as a baker. In 2013 Matthew opened the bakery at Borough Market. He began producing bread 7 days a week, supplying the market stall and a number of local restaurants.
‘We’re thrilled to have opened up our first permanent bakery in Dubai following the extraordinary success of our pop-up at Expo 2020,’ said Matthew Jones, Founder of Bread Ahead. ‘The residency will bring to Dubai the best of British artisanal baking, with a carefully curated menu of Bread Ahead favourites and exciting new menu items too.
