Since the Kingdom opened its doors to tourists from all over the world; Until now; It will receive 27 million international tourists and 79 million local tourists by the end of the year 2023, praising the achievements and goals of Saudi Vision 2030, seven years ahead of the specified date. His Excellency added: “The tourism sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues the march of achievements to transform the Kingdom into a global tourism power.” Through it, it drives the growth of the sector globally, and despite what has been achieved, we focus our efforts on continuing to attract sustainable investments and attract more tourists from all over the world, looking forward to a brighter future with the construction of new tourist destinations and the development of wonderful tourism products.” .
During a speech delivered by the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization; He congratulated the Kingdom on this great achievement, and the value of what the tourism sector in the Kingdom offers to the growth and development of global tourism.
The Saudi tourism sector has achieved a complete recovery since the global pandemic, with a growth of 56% in the number of international arrivals during the year 2023, compared to 2019, which is the highest among the G20 countries, and the increase during the previous year 2023 was driven by a growth equivalent to 65% in international visits with… Nearly 11 million inbound visits compared to 2022, with more than 100 billion Saudi riyals recorded in international tourist visitor spending.
